Tim will be at the Liverpool Anglican Cathedral on 3rd November not perhaps praying for victory in the Richmond Park by-election but talking at a Leadership breakfast
Visit by Tim Farron MP, Leader of the Liberal Democrats to Liverpool Thursday 3rd November
Lib Dem Leader Timn Farron will be making his third visit to Liverpool this year when he comes to two events in Liverpool tomorrow.
The first of these is at a Leadership Breakfast at the Liverpool Anglican Cathedral where he will be hosted by the Bishop of Liverpool Very Rev Paul Bayes.
He will then meet local businesses at a meeting hosted by the Liverpool Business Improvement District where he will discuss with local businesses the advantages and disadvantages of BREXIT and the help that they will need in weathering the economic storms and turbulence ahead.
Cllr Richard Kemp, the Leader of the Liverpool Liberal Democrats said, “It’s really good to see Tim back in town on his third visit this year. Liverpool is an important part of Liberal Democrat activity as we recover as a Party from the terrible side effects of the Coalition years. In coming to Liverpool Tim is seeking to gain a greater understanding of the problems being faced by businesses in the Post-Brexit era.
Only by understanding these problems and working with businesses can we challenge governmen to end the dillying and dallying on policy which we see from Theresa May. It is clear that the Government has little idea what to do now and there are at least three Cabinet Ministers with different views about the way forward. Indecision is crippling investment and will eventually cripple the economy”
