Some of our team for May
“As the nominations closed today I am pleased to announce the biggest and most experienced team of candidates that we have fielded in the city since 2010.
In addition to myself as the Mayoral Candidate we also have Cllr Chris Carubia from the Wirral standing for the Police Commissioners position.
We will be fighting 27 out of the 30 wards with a strong mix of new and established members.
Former councillors fighting to get back on include Malcolm Kelly (Woolton): Andrew Makinson (Church), Mirna Juarez (Allerton/Hunts Cross), and Pat Moloney (Childwall).
New members facing the electorate for the first time include former Lady Mayoress Rachel Plant in County Ward; Anna McCracken in Riverside, Steve Atkinson in Belle Vale and Joe Harmer, whose father is deputy Leader of Birmingham Lib Dems making his debut in Greenbank Ward.
The fact that we are fighting across the city with such a strong team shows how far we have rebounded from the desperate years for us in coalition. Across the City people are responding to our message that things are badly wrong at the Council; that our green spaces are under threat and that we need to project our city much more strongly and forcibly if we are to create the good jobs that the city so badly needs.
All our candidates are fighting on a manifesto that can be downloaded at http://www.richardkemp.org.uk
