re: Labour’s closure of Church & Mossley Hill Chilkdren’s Centre
Thanks for the update. Unfortunately my wife and I were unable to attend the meeting but our daughter went and told the attendees of the tremendous support she has derived from the centre after her “husband” walked away from her and our grandaughter not long after being born.
Our daughter isn`t the only one that has been supported by the centre, clearly all mums (and Dads) have been equally supported.
I find it absolutely ridiculous that centres in deprived areas with low attendances are being kept open while centres, similar to the one at Mossley Hill which enjoy regularly high attendance figures are in line for closure.
Common sense must prevail and this centre must be kept open. It is indeed “a much needed and wonderful facility” but it appears that our “very illustrious” politicians who run this council cannot “see the wood for the trees”.
We will certainly attend the next meeting and you will continue to have our support until we achieve our aims.
